Say hello to Juicebaby, a cold press juice bar which serves some the most delicious raw food I have tasted so I had to share it with you on The Nutritionista. Juice Baby takes healthy food to a whole new level, which is why I am a little in love with this gem which can be found on the Kings Road. Not only do they sell a varied selection of cold pressed juices they also sell nut milks, I tried the creamy cacao milk and it was honestly one of the best milks I had ever tried, so indulgent and creamy a real chocolatey treat. Whilst sipping on my creamy cacao milk I also indulged in a raw caramel slice, which I had heard such great things about. It would of rude not to right? And boy it didn’t disappoint. You know me I am the biggest fan of raw desserts as a delicious healthy treat once in a while and this raw caramel slice did the trick. Raw chocolatey, caramel richness and a creamy crunchy nutty base. Need I say more?

Juicebaby also serves a varied selection of nutritious snacks including kale salads, chia seed pots, avocado on toast, spicy nacho salad. They all looked fantastic, so far in my visits I have only eaten the avocado on spelt toast with chilli oil which was delicious, but as avocado on toast is one of my favourite meals I was going to be a happy girl. Next time I will be more adventurous and try some of their other options, all the salads looked great and are packed full of nutritious super healthy ingredients and the variety of raw desserts and treats were enough to keep anyone happy. The only problem is deciding what to eat, with such a wide selection of tasty food on offer Juice Baby makes the art of decision making hard to muster.

Juicebaby is a fabulous addition to Londons wellness scene and is up there with one of my favourite healthy hangouts, you will often find me with my laptop on their comfy sofas indulging in a treat or two. If you do go I recommend the creamy cacao milk and the raw caramel slice because sometimes you just need to treat yourself. So when you do, do it wisely with a Juice Baby treat, healthy, tasty, indulgent, guilt free, full of flavour. Sold.

The other weekend I went for brunch (I say brunch I ate cake, my bad) at Tanyas, now if you haven’t heard of Tanya’s then you need to check it out! So Tanya’s is a raw cafe in Chelsea which is everywhere at the moment, its doing so well. I am a big instagrammer (check out my account here) and I had been noticing pictures of the most beautiful looking raw dishes popping up, and after a bit of research I discovered that the source of these wonderful dishes was Tanyas. So I made it my mission to go along.

So I meet a couple of girls at tanya’s and got me some raw dessert….for brunch, naturally. Now I love raw dessert, in fact its my favourite thing ever. I love nothing more than whipping up a good raw dessert at the weekend and having some guilt free indulgence. I am getting quite distracted dreaming about raw desserts over here. Back to Tanya’s, so I ordered a My Alkaliser which is a green juice made with kale, spinach, lemon apple and cucumber which was delicious! Then after almost an hour of deliberating, I kid you not we looked at the menu and debated for an hour thats how good the menu is. We decided to share a few slices of raw cake because they looked too good to not try. We decided on the key lime cake, and the blueberry cheesecake with a little chocolate raw dessert truffle number. They were divine, I mean crazily good. I would of happily seen off a few slices to myself, luckily I was sharing and was forced to have restraint.

Now although these cakes were heavenly I have never seen such a fantastic menu, I really need to get myself back there. It all looked amazing the breakfast, the lunches, the snacks, everything. And of course its all raw, but that doesn’t mean compromised on taste, not in the slightest if those cakes were anything to go by.

Tanya’s you stole my heart, you made me eat cake for breakfast. I will be back, and I will try and choose something to eat in less than an hour. But I can’t promise anything x

P.S they now do a christmas menu….a raw christmas menu, it sounds amazing!!

Ohh the joys of breakfast, I just can’t explain my love for it, its rather all consuming I mean I even go to bed looking forward to eating breakfast the next morning. Is that normal? Anyway when I express my love for breakfast I am also including brunch in this, obvs.

So what better place to tell you about when I am declaring my love for breakfast and brunch than The Ham Yard hotel, which I recently found does an exquisite brunch. Now I am a slight creature of habit (I blame my Dad for this) but when I find somewhere I like to eat I tend to go back there again and again. Which is what I have been doing with breakfast as of late. If ever I have a breakfast meeting or a friend suggests breakfast my first reaction is always the Soho Hotel, which is a firm favourite (read my review here). So I decided in the last couple of weeks to venture out more and try new places, if you follow my instagram you will of seen all these new breakfast adventures. I mean I still order the same thing most breakfasts but you know baby steps and all that, and plus whats not to love about smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and avocado. Its perfection on a plate!

So on one very adventurous Sunday I decided to take a trip to The Ham Yard hotel, which is owned by the same family as the Soho Hotel which is the Firmdale hotel group. Its based right by Piccadilly Circus so pretty easy to get too! The decoration in this hotel was amazing, I loved it. I am a sucker for good decor, so I was pleased from word go.

So I decided to go crazy and order eggs benedict, I know no salmon!! But it was a great choice, I am not normally a big fan of hollandaise sauce but the sauce was very light but creamy so got a thumbs up from me. Also the ham was so thickly cut I was in ham heaven…..ham heaven at the Ham Yard….oh aren’t I funny, mega lolz and all that. So yes we established the ham was great, and the muffins were excellent too definitely freshly baked which I appreciated immensely. I ordered a pineapple, orange ginger juice to start which was nice, not my normal green but you know breaking all the rules. I did stick with an almond milk cappuccino to go with my brunch which was very tasty, I love almond milk in my coffee and it makes me so happy that more and more places are offering it on the menu!

So if your ever around central London on the weekend and fancy breakfast or brunch in a beautiful hotel, The Ham Yard is the one. Or the Soho Hotel, either or I can’t decide which I prefer they both do delicious food. And thats what really matters right? x

Ohhh Hubbard & Bell, how I have fallen in love with you. Everything from the cute vintage looking plates, to the the cold pressed organic juices, the great menu and the beyond delicious brunch food. Yep its official I am in love.

So Hubbard & Bell was recently brought to my attention by someone who knows how much I love brunches- word is spreading! And boy am I glad they introduced me. Luckily for me being based in Holborn its the ideal spot for me to wonder down to on a lazy Sunday and grab a spot of food with some friends. That’s exactly what I did, last weekend Sunday came upon us and me and one of my closest friends (who also is a massive foodie) decided that this Sunday was in need of some great brunching. And what better time to explore Hubbard & Bell, so we mooched on down to what I would say was one of my favourite brunches in a while.

I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that Hubbard & Bell offers cold pressed juices on the menu as its House Press selection, and these juices are organic! Once I discovered this I knew I was in for a good brunch. So I decided to order a green juice which consisted of kale, apple, cucumber, celery, pineapple, lemon, spinach, parsley and ginger. Then I got a soya cappuccino and the avocado on sourdough with poached egg & pistachio. This combination of food and drink was honestly heavenly. The type of brunch which reaffirmed why I love Sundays!

The rest of the menu looked so great, they had sourdough pancakes, steak and eggs, ricotta fig honey seasalt and mint and many more great flavour combinations! I will be back soon to try out more of the menu because it all sounded and looked amazing. The atmosphere of Hubbard & Bell was also a lot of fun, the open kitchen attributed to this but the whole place had a great ‘buzz’. I will be returning, no doubt in my mind and if any of you are around Holborn and fancy a delicious breakfast then I highly recommend. Actually all the menus look great but the only one I can confirm is the breakfast, oh I guess that means I have to go back and try their lunch and dinner menus too…..damn!

This weekend just been I had a great weekend, and do you want to know why it was so great? Well that would be because I started my Saturday morning at The Wolseley hotel in Mayfair having the most delightful brunch. See I told you it was great!

Now The Wolseley has been on my ‘list’ of places to visit for a while now. Yes I actually have a list, I like to make lists, lots of them….don’t judge me please haha. I also like breakfast and going for brunch A LOT. I mean my breakfast obsession is getting a bit ridiculous now. But anyway moving on from my unhealthy obsession with breakfast food and back to The Wolseley.

Now the hotel itself is impressive, great location, great interiors, and even a high percentage of good looking waiters (always a plus). However all this aside the food was delightful, I had heard from a variety of sources that the scrambled eggs and salmon was amazing and I just ‘had to’ try it. So naturally I did, I ordered scrambled eggs, smoked salmon with a side of avocado and a almond milk cappuccino. Then because me and my fellow bruncher were feeling mighty peckish we decided to share some granola with banana too. As it was the weekend, we were at The Wolseley and I had had a very exciting week with The Nutritionista we thought that we might as well pull out all the stops and have a big celebratory breakfast.

The rumours regarding the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were true!! The tastiest salmon ever and the eggs, oh the eggs they were divine so yellow and fluffy I could eat those scrambled eggs every day. The coffee and the granola were amazing too but the scrambled eggs and salmon stole the limelight for sure.

I would happily eat breakfast at The Wolseley everyday if I could, sadly this is not possible but I will be back again! The lady next to me had the most delicious/naughty looking pancakes I have ever seen and I feel my life is not complete until I try them.

So The Wolseley it was a wonderful experience, from a self confessed breakfast addict thanks for making my Saturday morning so delightful.

Love The Nutritionista x
